Prestige Whisky Silver

Watch this space for more details of the Prestige Whisky Silver Range - coming soon

Watch out for pricing changes

At Prestige Whisky we're at the cutting edge of customer service. We regularly check what it is that our customers are searching for and making the most of this information ensure that the whiskies you want are available here at the most competitive price we can offer. Details of these on-going changes will be available here and via our blog and Twitter pages.

Business Synergies

You'll notice over time a series of new features arriving at www.prestigewhisky.com

These include the new 'whisky of the world' feature and will be followed soon by a range of lower priced whisky we're calling 'Prestige Silver' aimed more at the newbie whisky drinker than the connoisseur.

We're trying to pitch our proposition at various levels to ensure that we have something for everyone.

In the business sector we offer some brand enhancement services. Basically, if you want to add value to one of your high value sales or treat a special client, why not speak to us about providing one of our whiskies for your customer as a free 'offer' when the sale completes. This idea is fits into a number of sales sectors and is surprisingly flexible. We can see it working for the following sectors (and this is just a selection) : financial services, cars, boats, real estate, IT.... the list is almost endless - whereever you want to show a valuable client you appreciate the business we can help with a select whisky.

If your business has the possibility of making this kind of arrangement an on-going service then we will of course discuss discounts for volume purchase and we already have a provisional list of suitable whiskies drawn up if anyone wants to chat.

In short we want to provide whisky based solutions to everyone who enjoys the water of life.

Viral marketing

I've been approached to consider a viral marketing campaign for Prestige Whisky.

In principal I think that this is a great idea - it's free, if done well can be fun and of course should drive traffic and therefore revenue for the business.
However, as we all know unsolicited e-mails ARE SPAM. Done badly a viral campaign is boring, irritating tosh that simply gets deleted.

Hopefully our campaign will be of the former rather than latter variety! Here's my promise to our faithful blog readers - if you happen to receive one of our marketing e-mails and you don't like it - apologies and feel free to press the delete button !

Whisky collectors in search of the" new liquid gold"

As you know if you keep a close check on world commodity prices (?) the cost of gold bullion has reached its best price in almost ten years despite the latest reports that gold futures will decline as the dollar rebounds. It seems that gold is still a real collector’s delight.

With the fluctuating share prices and volatility of the UK housing market and these more recent changes in the gold market more and more collectors and investors are looking for the new gold... liquid gold!!!

The malt whisky drinks market has entered into a real renaissance over the last few years as aged malt and indeed blended whisky become rarer commodities.

For certain aged and limited edition malts the price of these brands continue to soar and in many cases they are becoming a very rare and wise investment with some malts boasting stock so rare that they may be lost forever in private collections.

Prestige Whisky have just added a rare and limited edition of the Jura elements range so take a look although stocks are in very limited supply. Whether you decide to keep these whiskies as an investment or drink them with friends ….. enjoy !

For full details of our rare and exclusive collections check out our site at: www.prestigewhisky.com

Jura Elements

We're very excited about getting access to the new Jura Elements range - Jura is the only distillery on the Island of Jura and has a reputation for producing tasty and imaginative whisky with a wide appeal.

Their new Elements range is selling fast and given that only a few hundred of each were produced I'd advise you to get straight across to www.prestigewhisky.com and order asap - we really don't expect to be able to continue offering these expressions for more than a few weeks.

We have the Air, Earth and Fire expressions at £ 95.99, £ 49.99 and £ 72 respectively.

Buy them whilst we have stock.

New Stock for August/September

We have a number of exciting new product additions en route for the coming months (yes you guessed it, in the lead up to ..... no I won't put the C*******S word into print quite yet!)

You'll find new Tamdhu and Caperdonich Speysides on the site as well as a lovely little 1982 Brora (Highland) for £ 84.99.

Most exciting of all is the new Jura Elements range - more on this in a separate post.

The mysteries of google page ranking

If you do a search under 'whisky' or 'buy whisky' www.prestigewhisky.com doesn't appear on the first 20 pages of google listings (I'm sure it appears somewhere but frankly I got bored of looking after 20 pages).

However, if you search under 'Glenfarclas 1963' we appear third on page one of google. But if you look for 'Glenfarclas 1994' there's no sign of us anywhere, even though we stock both items and I've done nothing SEO wise to differentiate between the two. Also, don't get me started on 'Balvenie 1967' - we're still appearing page one of google despite the fact that we no longer carry that whisky.

Having gotten us to page one of google for a number of searches I now need to keep us us there with interesting copy and things like this blog - I'm resisting the temptation to type :

'buy whisky from www.prestigewhisky'

six thousand times to see what happens - my guess is that google probably won't like this but who knows ?

Proud to be the genuine article

Whilst I was on holiday recently I had a discussion with a friend about a story I'd heard about on the news and seen details of on-line.

It concerned a guy from England who'd gone onto a .co.uk website and bought a pair of Nike trainers believing the website was UK based and the trainers were genuine. Of course they were not !

The problem it seems is that because the UK website registration 'authorities' are pretty lax it's easy to set up a .co.uk website url in the UK but have your business based anywhere - the upshot is that branded goods on some apparently genuine websites are in fact hooky gear from China, Korea, Taiwan etc.

As a business then Prestige Whisky lives and dies by the veracity of our brands and how we present them to our customers and take it from me, the brand owners and distilleries are very keen to ensure we promote their brands well and carefully.

Let's be clear then, you won't find any Glenfaddachs, Bulvenies or Laffrogs at www.prestigewhisky.com. Every drop of liquid we sell is the real thing produced and bottled to strict standards by literally the best distilleries in the world.

We are definitely 100% a United Kingdom based business and proud to be supporting the economy of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales in this time of economic turmoil.

Keep your search engines peeled !

Watch out for improved pricing on some of our top brands - coming soon.

We do regular reviews of the items you, our valued customers are searching for and will regularly price check these to ensure you're always getting the best possible deal that www.prestigewhisky.com can offer.

Once we make these amendments, we'll highlight them on the website, hear and of course via twitter.

Keep google peeled !

Subtle changes to www.prestigewhisky.com

In coming weeks you'll notice some subtle but exciting changes to www.prestigewhisky.com.

Firstly we have lots of exciting new stock to add to the site.

We are appearing very high on google for a number of our brands and this will increase. Bearing that in mind and also now having been up and running for a little while now we are planning a more focused pricing policy which will of course benefit our customers who'll find the whiskies they love at the price they want to pay.

Lastly watch out for other exciting marketing news including a new regular feature on the website and much, much more.

As each change in focus or price happens we will of course update both the blog and Twitter
